Due tracce di killer deep funk, entrambe con un eccellente break di batteria, registrate nella meta’ degli anni Settanta su Cotillion Record, etichetta discografica sussidiaria della Atlantic Record attiva tra il 1968 e il 1975 e specializzata in Soul, Funk, Jazz, Gospel, Blues e R’n’B.
La prima traccia realizzata da Mark Holder & The Positive, del 1972, e’ una potente e groovy stumentale funk con una leggera influenza jazzy, incisiva sezione di fiati e killer break.
La seconda traccia e’ degli Unemplyed ed e’ intitolata “Funky Thing”,1970, il grupo sembra abbia realizzato solamente un paio 45’s tra cui ” Funky Rooster”.
